Resume
My professional experience has primarily carried me into the non-profit world. In both organizations I’ve served, I’ve met and worked with some really great folks that I’m grateful to have learned a ton from.
Professional Experience
National Braille Association
Operations Manager
January 2011 – Present
As the Operations Manager, my duties at the National Braille Association (NBA) are to oversee the day-to-day operations of a small, nationally based non-profit directly serving the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
What’s great about my job at NBA is that I’ve gotten experience in a lot of areas. From event planning, to external communications and marketing, to membership and fund development, I’ve had an opportunity to gain experience and develop a skill set that touches on nearly every aspect of running a non-profit organization.
Proudest moment: I oversaw the development of our website that transitioned our entire offline membership database to a cloud-based database that directly integrates with the website.
Heritage Christian Services
Assistant Manager
October 2009 – October 2011
As Assistant Manager of a four-person IRA, I oversaw a team of individuals reputed to consistently be one of the top performing teams in the 1,500 employee organization.
Cafe Manager
April 2007 – October 2009
With the opening of a one-of-a-kind fully inclusive community center, one aspect of the center included a cafe intended to be the social hub of the center. In opening the cafe, I worked here both with outside vendors to develop healthy menu options, and community partners to foster an inclusive environment.
Proudest moment: We held regular live music nights where musicians from different backgrounds played shows attended by residents from Heritage Christian Services and the wider community.

Grant Writer
National Braille Association
My first involvement with NBA was as a Grant Writer. Each week I would spend about 4 hours working on grant opportunities and I did so for about 5 months. All of the grants that I wrote were successfully funded!
Co-Creator
ROCMassMob
Dec 2013 – Jun 2014
With a partner, I worked to develop a concept similar to one in a neighboring city. Using the concept of a ‘Flash Mob’, we effectively brought ‘masses’ of individuals to new religious buildings for the purposes of providing education and awareness for their historic landmark statuses and unique community engagement.
